Outings with the family
Friday 2nd August
Us and Peter & Co. (behind bushes) at Norwood Farm.
Cycle ride today to St. Mary-in-the-Marsh.
Excellent lunch in the pub. All with good appetites!
The family went on to the coast after lunch - we just returned by a different route and explored the village of Newchurch.
Saturday 3rd August
An easier day for us today. Peter, Emilie and Adam cycled to Dungeness while Hannah drove us in their VW van.
We enjoyed our picnic together ....

.... while watching the preparations for a photoshoot of a girl wearing a rather unusual frock...!
Soon after this, an official Dungeness Estate warden came and sent them away ... there were signs everywhere that this was only allowed if authorised in advance.
John, re-acquainting himself with his past life when working at the power station site - begun in 1967!
Watching the little train while in Dungeness Station.
Board walk to the sea
Evening stroll from the campsite looking across the fields to Newchurch village.
The family left around 6.30. We leave early tomorrow morning for our ferry.
