Celje

Saturday 17th August

We drove another very short hop - this time to the town of Celje, parked up at the camperstop in a park beside the River Savinja.  The park gave us some lovely shade for eating our lunch, then we ventured into the town.  Maybe because of the heat, maybe because it's a holiday weekend, but there was nobody around.  The museum closed at 1, so we'd missed that - 5 minutes in the church was good - a drink at one of the open cafes - and back to our park to chill out for the rest of the afternoon.

The park is on the left of this picture - taken from the pedestrian bridge into town.

The castle high on the hill  - no energy to climb up there and we couldn't see where to catch the bus ....

We are so impressed with how clean and bright this country is.  Never see any rubbish lying around or dog poo!
