Neunbrunnen, Austria
Saturday 10th August
Today has been a lot cooler with quite a lot of cloud - an easier temperature to cope with. We came into Austria and arrived at Camping Bad Neunbrunnen am Waldsee, a few miles north of Zell am See. It's run by Dutch people, a very busy-looking site, but really only because it has so many permanent caravans. Many of them not occupied, so very quiet. A French couple arrived at much the same time as us, so we got talking. Later, after a little walk around the lake and dinner cooking in the remoska, I managed to fall over my own feet inside the confines of our van and wrenched my back something shocking. In a lot of pain, our new French friend offered his services as he said he has "energy hands"! What he also offered was a tube of soothing cream, so that along with our ice packs got me through the evening.
Some little people live in the woods beside the lake.

Sunday 11th August
After a fitful night, I am a little bit more comfortable, but lying down or walking slowly seems to be the best thing for my back at present. We had planned to stay another day, so we are spending it doing the bare minimum - a short walk along the road this morning, admiring the surrounding mountains and plenty of lying down in the shade. Yes, the hot weather is here again.
View from the entrance to the campsite.
Going for another little walk in a while, so will take sunnier pictures of our lake....
.... although now it is in shade because of the forested mountain behind. Of course,we don't have one of these lake-side pitches!
We hope to move on tomorrow, into Slovenia, but it depends on the pain levels - here wouldn't be a bad place to spend another restful day.

Seeing that you were camping near Zell am See brought back memories for Nigel and myself as we were staying in Zell am See last September for Nigel's sons wedding. Sorry to hear you had a fall (one too many perhaps!!) but hope your back is not quite as painful now.xx
