Titisee - Oberried - Ottrott (France)
Friday 6th September
A quick nip into the Edeka supermarket down the hill from the camperstop at Uberlingen for some rolls and very tasty looking pastries, then a bit more moving on westwards into the Black Forest. As we were passing through Titisee, we decided to pay our third visit to this delightful place for a few hours. It is very touristy, with 90% of the shops selling pricey souvenirs like cuckoo clocks starting at 400€, but worth the visit to the Christmas shop and a wander beside the lake. We never seem to get warm weather here, but it is pretty high up.
We knew about this animated clock on the side wall of a jewellers shop, so were here at a perfect time. The 'people' go round and round to a pretty little tune!
From Titisee we drove a little further to Kirnermartes Hof campsite at Oberried - a terraced site which is part of a farm that's on the other side of the lane.
Looking down onto Oberried.
A great way to round off our week of travelling through southern Germany. We were soon over the Rhine and into France, stopping for our lunch beside rows and rows of Alsace vines.
We've come to a France Passion farm near Obernai for the night, just outside the village of Ottrott. It's come on to rain during the evening, so we hope it will be fine in the morning to explore the village.

Saturday 7th September
These are some of our friendly neighbours across the lane. The white things are small temporary shelters for young calves.
As we didn't explore around here yesterday afternoon, we decided to have a (fairly) early walk on the panoramaweg, a circular walk from the campsite before leaving. I said "it looks like it just follows the contours around the hillside and then down into the village". Well, that was true, but there was a fair bit of uphill first!
But as the sun got brighter, we understood why it's a panoramaweg.Looking down onto Oberried.
