Terrassen-Camping am Rottenbuch
Tuesday 3rd September
We've stumbled on yet another delightful campsite and village. Bavaria is just so lovely.

Campsite reception.

A walk through the village of Rottenbuch. (Appropriate place to be - my back has been rather rotten today!)
The post office has its own courtyard and fountain.
The Rathaus.

Probably the most highly decorated church of them all - built in the 1700s - and in a very small village with just one pub and 2 bakery/cafes.

The pulpit - so much to look at, that we wonder if the sermon is listened to(!)
The organ loft/musicians/sound gallery. No organ there now, but we saw pictures of when it was.
Then a walk steeply down through the forest
to the River Ammer and back.
Back up to the village. This is the gateway through it. While having our lunch on a seat the other side of the arch, we saw a few very large lorries have to make a U turn.
So many buildings in this region have wall paintings. We liked this one.
Sampling one of the cafes on our way back to the site.
Then chilling out for the rest of the afternoon.

The clock tower, with church to the right of it behind tree.
