Isny - Uberlingen

Wednesday 4th September

Travelling a bit further west we stayed on minor roads to appreciate the Bavarian scenery.

Back at the Austrian campsite at Malta, our neighbours told us that they lived in the town of Isny not far from Lake Constance, and that it had a campsite in the forest.  So we decided to aim for that today.  It has a pretty little lake too.
After lunch and a relax in the sunshine, we walked down into the town of Isny.  Lots of interesting features in a very clean and pleasant place.

They even have a knitted fountain!

This small lake is in the town too.

Thursday 5th September

Moving on again this morning - again on a scenic route - we came to Bodensee (or Lake Constance).  We chose to come to Uberlingen on recommendation from friend, Marilyn.  Despite it being a chilly (we put on long trousers for the first time!) and cloudy day, the lake was beautiful this afternoon to walk along the prom, admire the gardens and eat an ice cream.

And yet another town of interesting buildings and shops....

... archways ...

 ... and fountains.

We are staying the night on a very smart, new-looking camperstop for about 60 motorhomes.  There are now only about 2 spare places, so a popular spot!  It's close to the Park & Ride, so we used the bus to go down to the lake and walked back up.
