Day at Bohinjsko Jezero
Monday 26th August
Today, Natalie and David came on the bus to us at Bohinjska Bistrica. After a coffee at our campsite, we all caught the free bus to Lake Bonhinj.
Our first view of the lake. The water is crystal clear. David was fascinated by the fish.
So then he ate one! This was our slightly belated birthday celebration for him.
But we all enjoyed our lunch.

The frescoes are so well preserved.
And the views from the bell tower, amazing.
Mount Triglav, the highest in Slovenia. All Slovenians have to climb it at least once in their lifetime.

Our restaurant from the path by the lake.
It's been a very atmospheric day today, with hazy clouds, some sunshine and also some rumbles around the mountains.
The little church of St. John the Baptist is well worth a visit - we don't remember having to pay to go in when we were here 3 years ago!
